DONOSTIA - SAN SEBASTIAN FOR ALL

OUR FAVORITE CITY

Over the recent years, Donostia – San Sebastián has been awarded several prizes by internationally-renowned organizations. In 2018, Donostia – San Sebastián has won the Experts’ Choice Award for Best European Destination and the travel guide Lonely Planet has awarded the San Sebastián pintxos the title of best gastronomic experience in the world.

Any excuse to visit Donostia – San Sebastián is good. Besides the unequalled beauty of La Concha Bay, which the royal family fell in love with at the start of the last century and continues to captivate anyone who comes to see it, the city is the place to come to for innovative cuisine, a wide range of festivals that have made it a genuine cultural phenomenon and an active and healthy lifestyle that is very much in touch with the natural resources on offer. All these reasons have made it a top tourist destination over the last two centuries.

Donostia – San Sebastián is divided into three main areas, each with its own personality, partly reflected in its three magnificent beaches. With the peaceful Ondarreta Beach and the Wind Comb sculpture on one side, the thundering waves of the Zurriola Beach dotted with surfers on the other, and the famous Concha Beach in the centre, each have their own spots much loved by the locals. With all this to offer, the city has become a reference as one of the main european accessible destination.

At Bask for All, we aim to make your travel experience unique. From an assisted bathing at the beach to adapted golf or adapted surf, we believe travel is made for everyone, regardless of their age, gender or disability.

To put it in a nutshell, Donostia – San Sebastian is a wonderful city to get lost in and explore…in a safe, accessible and wheelchair friendly environment.

  • 5 star ratingMust do!!! This was amazing!!! If you like white wine must do. The driver picks you up from your hotel/Airbnb, drives you to this beautiful fishing village Getaria. The vineyard is family owned, small and quaint, very friendly owners. They make two types of crisp white wine, which I would have shipped home but it’s too expensive to America. After the wine tasting we went to a restaurant on the water. I’m not a fish person, but this was literally the freshest fish ever!! And lunch is paid for as part of your tour. This was one of my favorite things I did on my two week trip to Europe.
Tour guide was Andoni, very friendly and personable. Office staff reached out to me before and after tour on WhatsApp to confirm details and to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend this tour!!

  • We used Bask For All in 2019 when we decided to stop in San Sebastian for a few days as part of a road rrip through parts of Europe. I am parapegic and a full time manual wheelchair user. BFA were able to provide a range of very wheelchair accessible hotels for us to stay in at different price points and all within easy pushing distance to the city centre. Our 4 star hotel was excellent, it had a large bedroom and bathroom with roll-in showere and a track hoist for those who need it. We also booked a gastronomy tour with Asier and were not disappointed in the Pinxos bars selected. It was a fabulous day, great food and wine and accompanied by a very knowledgable guide who told us about the history of the Basque people and area. Our view was that using a local company really helped with our whole experience in San Sebastian and made it thoroughly enjoyable.

  • 5 star ratingAmazing time had by all We could not be more pleased with the services provided by Bask for All and specifically Blanca, from the planning stages to our arrival in San Sebastián. My husband is disabled and uses a mobility scooter. Not only did they arrange a wonderful accessible tour from Bilbao to San Sebastián (thanks Ernes) but we also had a great Cider tour - not to be missed.
San Sebastián is the most accessible city we have ever visited, from the restaurants and bars, to access to the beach, as well as getting the bus to Fuenterrabía.
Blanca was always available and very responsive to any questions we had and she made great recommendations for restaurants and pintxos bars. She was very warm and welcoming and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be returning and will use their services again without question.
Thanks Bask for All and Blanca for helping us make some great memories - a very professional company and great staff!

  • 5 star ratingGreat support for wonderfully trip I am recently disabled and was very anxious about traveling. Bask for All was incredible from helping with equipment rentals, arranging transfers and tours, and quickly responding to questions before and during trip. Highly recommended - they allowed us to enjoy our trip without stressing about logistics. Mikel as the guide for the wine tour was great with leading tour and conversation.

  • Fantastic service from Bask For All, who have arranged two very successful and memorable trips to San Sebastian for me, in addition to Andorra and Barcelona. They go 'above and beyond' in their level of service and I would thoroughly recommend them, particularly for travellers with disabilities.
